Integrative approach Tailored to Your Pet

At UpLift Veterinary Rehabilitation, we offer a wide range of services designed to help your pet feel their best. From underwater treadmill to advanced modalities like shockwave and laser therapy, each treatment is carefully selected to support their health, comfort and joy.

Because your pet deserves a truly comprehensive approach to wellness.

Hydrotherapy:

Give your dog or cat a gentle yet effective workout. Underwater treadmill uses water’s natural resistance to build muscle strength in a low-impact environment – perfect for strengthening muscles, improving function and gait retraining.

Rehabilitation
Therapy:

Highly trained rehabilitation therapists lead our rehabilitation sessions. We use specialized equipment to improve strength, increase joint range of motion, and help with body awareness and coordination. Additionally, pets receive a customized at-home rehabilitation exercise plan.

Chiropractic
Techniques:

Also known as Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy, VSMT helps restore joint motion, reduce pain, stimulate the nervous system, promote healthy organ function and improve musculoskeletal balance. It’s a powerful tool for both preventative care
and post-injury recovery.

Shockwave:

Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) uses energy in the form of sound waves to stimulate the healing process.
It penetrates muscle tissue and joint capsules to stimulate tissue repair, reduce pain, increase circulation and disrupt the inflammatory process.

Acupuncture:

By stimulating key acupoints, acupuncture activates the nervous, endocrine and immune systems.
It helps relieve pain, reduce inflammation, boost circulation and promote natural healing—restoring balance in your pet’s body.

Laser Therapy:

Therapeutic lasers stimulate cellular metabolism to increase circulation, reduce pain, speed up healing, and decrease inflammation and/or edema among other favorable effects.

Thermal Therapy:

Heat therapy involves gently warming tissues to improve chronically tight muscles, reduce muscle spasms, and increase joint comfort.

Cold therapy (also called cryotherapy) is effective for reducing pain and inflammation after acute injuries and surgery.

Massage:

This is one of the oldest forms of healing. It involves hands-on muscle manipulation to increase flexibility, reduce soreness and inflammation, improve range of motion, and speed up rate of recovery. Additionally, massage offers emotional benefits by lowering stress and anxiety in pets.

Electrotherapy:

Electrical stimulation of varying currents and wavelengths improve muscle tone, relieve pain, assist with muscle atrophy, and aid in muscle re-education.

Pharmaceuticals
and Nutraceuticals:

As part of a multimodal approach, we prescribe medications and nutraceuticals to help manage a variety of conditions that cause acute or chronic pain.

Mobility Assistive
Devices:

We evaluate each pet individually and recommend assistive devices based on their specific mobility needs. Options include harnesses, slings, protective footwear (booties and nail covers), mobility carts, orthoses, prosthetics
and more.

Herbal Medications:

Chinese herbal medicine is rooted in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and may help with a range of medical conditions including neurological, orthopedic, endocrine, dermatological, and even cancer-related issues.

Food Therapy:

An appropriate diet is essential for preventing and managing many health conditions. We start with obtaining a full history, nutritional assessment, and evaluation of your pet’s overall health. Our Certified Veterinary Food Therapist (CVFT) can formulate a diet combining Traditional Chinese Medicine with Western veterinary practices.

PEMF:

Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) is a pain management tool used to support healing in a variety of musculoskeletal and soft tissue conditions. It delivers targeted electromagnetic signals that stimulate the body’s natural regenerative and healing processes.
